Dancing into history, Daniel Negreanu and Jack McClelland had been called the 47th and 48th members of the WSOP Hall of Fame
Daniel Negreanu and famous poker tournament director Jack McClelland would be the newest members of this Poker Hall of Fame.
The pair have become the 47th and 48th poker people to receive the prestigious nomination, and certainly will be inducted at a ceremony on November 9th at Binion’s Horseshoe, the first home of the World variety of Poker (WSOP), prior to the final outcome with this year’s Main Event.
Negreanu and McClelland were chosen from an organization of 10 nominees, which this present year included players that are popular Jennifer Harman, Mike Matusow, Ted Forrest and Huck Seed. Nominees were chosen by general public vote, aided by the winners then selected with a panel that is 20-person of influential figures from the poker media, also living Hall of Famers, including Doyle Brunson, Mike Sexton, Phil Hellmuth, and Barry Greenstein.
Negreanu was a popular choice: a perennial fan favorite, the Canadian has had an exceptional 2014, cashing in a phenomenal nine events at the WSOP, including that second-place in the Big One for starters Drop, which netted him $8 million. That result made him the biggest tournament that is live of them all, with more than $30 million to his name.
With his indefatigable and garrulous good humor, few individuals did more to popularize the game
